Coca-Cola Unifies Global Packaging Under New Visual Identity

The Coca-Cola Company has introduced a new global visual identity designed to create greater consistency across its packaging, retail equipment and digital communications in more than 200 markets.

The system will be rolled out across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, bringing Coca-Cola’s principal visual assets under a more uniform design framework.

The updated identity gives greater prominence to the brand’s red-and-white colour palette, Spencerian script, Dynamic Ribbon and Arden Square. The elements will be applied across bottles, cans, retail environments, dispensing equipment and digital experiences.

“Coca-Cola is one of the most recognized brands in the world, and with that comes a responsibility to keep evolving,” said Arnab Roy, president of Coca-Cola Global Category.

“This refresh is about being clearer and more consistent in how we show up, wherever people experience our brand. By building on the things people already know and love, we’re creating a stronger foundation for growth while staying unmistakably Coca-Cola.”

Coca-Cola Zero Sugar will also receive an updated packaging design that retains a distinct identity while drawing more heavily on the wider Coca-Cola brand system.

Changes include larger Zero Sugar lettering, a prominent black Dynamic Ribbon on cans and a black cap on PET bottles.

“For over a century, Coca-Cola has been a global symbol of optimism and authenticity. Now, with one seamless visual identity, we can deliver one recognizable brand experience to consumers,” said Rapha Abreu, global vice-president of design at The Coca-Cola Company.

The drinks group has also launched an immersive Brand Center and technology-supported Design Intelligence tools to help its internal design and marketing teams, alongside external agency partners, implement the identity consistently across markets.
