Parkside has developed a recyclable paper wrapper for Greek baker Sofi’s Cookies, replacing the compostable polymer packaging previously supplied for its individually wrapped cookie ranges.
The plastic-free pack is designed to be compatible with kerbside recycling collection schemes while providing the grease and oxygen barriers required to preserve the cookies during distribution. The grease barrier also prevents butter used in the recipe from staining the packaging.
Sofi’s Cookies will supply the individually wrapped products to a luxury resort chain operating in Spain and Greece. The packs will feature printed designs tailored to the branding of each resort.

Sofi’s Cookies is a family-owned business supplying baked goods and confectionery to the retail and hospitality sectors. Its chocolate and vanilla cookies are currently available in compostable packaging previously developed by Parkside.
