Hybrid packaging supplier Berlin Packaging has acquired Nissho Jitsugyo, a supplier of packaging products and services to diverse markets and regions across Japan.
Nissho was founded in Japan in 1965 and offers a broad portfolio of packaging solutions to a diverse base of Japanese customers in local food and beverage markets, as well as various others including healthcare and beauty.
Nissho’s solutions feature glass and plastic packaging products sourced from a network of high-quality local manufacturers. It also offers its customers value-added services such as design and NPD, sourcing and procurement, warehousing, filling and assembly and logistics management capabilities.

In January, Berlin Packaging expanded its presence in Ireland when it acquired Alpack.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
