Cardbox Packaging Invests EUR6.5m in Czech Subsidiary

Cardbox Packaging, a leader in innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, has announced a significant investment of EUR6.5m in its new subsidiary in the Czech Republic. This strategic move is aimed at expanding the company’s global presence and enhancing its manufacturing capabilities to meet the increasing demand for high-quality packaging. The investment includes the acquisition of state-of-the-art machinery, notably the Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106 X-8+L printing press and the Bobst Visioncut 106 LER die-cutter, marking a significant step towards production efficiency and quality.

The Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106 X-8+L – known for its unparalleled print quality, efficiency, and versatility, will enable the creation of a wider range of packaging designs with higher precision and faster turnaround times. Similarly, the Bobst Visioncut 106 LER die-cutter will enhance precision in packaging cutting and shaping, ensuring superior product quality. The integration of full feeding logistics and optical lateral register with these machines further optimizes the production process, reducing waste and improving overall efficiency.

Klaus Hockl, CEO of Cardbox Packaging, expressed excitement about the expansion in the Czech Republic and the opportunities it brings to serve customers better, stating, “This investment not only strengthens our manufacturing capabilities but also demonstrates our commitment to innovation and excellence in the packaging industry.”
