Anuga FoodTec, one of the food and beverage sector’s premier global trade fairs, is already seeing unprecedented demand for its 2027 edition, with two thirds of the exhibition space allotted well ahead of the event’s opening.
Organizers say the early surge in reservations marks the strongest advance booking level in the fair’s history and reflects robust confidence across the industry.
The unusually high booking pace comes nearly a year before the event’s scheduled start, signaling strong momentum among technology suppliers and manufacturers serving the global food-processing sector. According to organizers, the milestone underscores both the scale of industry engagement and the event’s continued influence as a marketplace for innovation and partnership.
Much of the early commitment comes from returning participants. Roughly 75% of the applications received so far are from companies that exhibited at the 2024 edition. Taken together, these reservations account for more than two thirds of the exhibition area planned for 2027. Organizers say the early participation provides exhibitors and visitors alike with greater planning certainty and reinforces the fair’s reputation for quality and global reach.
The roster of confirmed exhibitors already features many of the industry’s largest equipment and technology providers. Among them are Handtmann, Vemag, JBT, Marel, Fortifi, Seydelmann, GEA, Krones, Alpma, ProXES, Florin, Ulma, Aetna, Duravant, Multivac, Weber, Siemens, G. Mondini, IMA, ifm Beckhoff, Stäubli, Schneider Electric, CSB-System, Regal Rexnord, Forbo Siegling, Westfalia, Movexx and Aicon XRay. The lineup also includes several first-time participants such as Epson, Sticomax, Schindler & Wagner, BEMA, Borncut and Gulftech. Meanwhile, returning companies include Ecolean, Bizerba, Ecolab, PDT Group, Air Liquide and Grote.
“We are very pleased at the strong interest and the broad and extraordinarily early commitment of the exhibitors. In connection with the high returnee rate, especially on the part of the global key players, this impressively underlines the innovation power of the industry and the importance of Anuga FoodTec as a leading international trade fair”, notes Roland Thiemann, Director of Anuga FoodTec.
Organizers say the early booking figures reflect the event’s central role in connecting companies across the entire food production and processing chain. Established industry leaders will be joined by newer entrants expanding the fair’s technology offering, while the accompanying program is expected to highlight emerging challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
The 2027 edition will center on the theme “Navigate Complexity,” a concept intended to address the growing technological, regulatory and supply chain challenges confronting food manufacturers worldwide. The event’s trade program, organized in partnership with DLG, will feature knowledge-sharing and interactive formats designed to encourage cross-industry dialogue and collaboration.
Companies planning to exhibit still have an opportunity to secure space, though organizers note that early applicants will have the best chance of securing favorable locations within the exhibition halls.
Anuga FoodTec 2027 is scheduled to take place from February 23 to February 26, 2027, in Cologne.
