The change marks the first switch away from rustling, shiny plastic wrappers for the brand in 86 years since Harold Mackintosh launched the brand in 1936 – with the intention of keeping 2bn wrappers a year out of landfill.
GEA, an international food processing technology supplier, announced that its has opened a new state-of-the-art food processing and packaging North American Technology Center in Frisco, Texas. The company celebrated the opening of the facility in September.
Health Canada is introducing new nutrition labelling regulations for packaged foods requiring a symbol on the front of packages indicating that a food is high in saturated fat, sugars and/or sodium. The regulations will come into effect on July 20, 2022.
Back after four years, the industry came together in a big way at PACK EXPO International (Oct. 23-26, 2022). The show convened over 44,000 attendees, surpassing the 2018 event.
