Schubert Celebrates 60 Years With Successful interpack 2026 Showcase

Gerhard Schubert has reported a successful outcome from interpack 2026, citing strong visitor engagement, new customer acquisitions and successful order placements during the seven-day exhibition in Düsseldorf.

The Crailsheim-based packaging machinery manufacturer used the event to publicly present its newly structured product portfolio built around three technology lines: TLM, LIGHTLINE and TOG. The company’s 784-square-metre stand in Hall 14 was organised around these platforms, showcasing packaging solutions for a broad range of industries and applications.

During a media briefing on the opening day of the exhibition, Marcel Kiessling, Managing Director of Sales and Service, and Ralf Schubert, Managing Partner, highlighted the company’s performance in the past financial year. According to Schubert, growth in overall group performance, a strong turnkey business and a steady stream of orders from core markets have helped the company navigate challenging market conditions.

The introduction of the new portfolio structure formed a central part of Schubert’s interpack presence.

“interpack 2026 served as an ideal starting point for us to present our product strategy to the greater public for the first time and set the course for the future,” said Marcel Kiessling. “The high visitor numbers on all days, productive discussions and successful order placements, including the acquisition of new customers, demonstrate that the approach was a resounding success across the board – and that flexible packaging solutions are in high demand.”

One of the main attractions at the stand was the unveiling of the latest generation of Schubert’s TLM technology platform. The new system features a redesigned machine frame, optimised robot path planning and upgraded control technology. According to the company, these developments enable higher performance levels without increasing the machine footprint.

The launch generated considerable attention throughout the exhibition, with visitors gathering to see the new machine demonstrated on the stand.

Regulatory developments also featured prominently in discussions with customers. The forthcoming implementation of the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) generated significant interest among packaging producers seeking guidance on compliance, machine compatibility and sustainable packaging materials.

Schubert used the event to showcase the work of its Packaging Competence Center (PCC), which supports customers in addressing technical and regulatory packaging challenges.

“The EU regulation calls for close collaboration between many stakeholders, from packaging machine manufacturers to recyclers and material suppliers,” said Michael Graf, Head of Schubert’s PCC. “Trade visitors were extremely interested in the contribution we can make as a machinery manufacturer. This highlights that the PCC plays a vital role as a liaison between packaging companies, the machinery sector and other industries.”

The exhibition also coincided with Schubert’s 60th anniversary. Founded in 1966, the family-owned company has grown into a global supplier of robot-based packaging systems serving food, confectionery, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and industrial goods manufacturers.

With approximately 1,900 employees worldwide, Schubert said the strong response at interpack 2026 reinforces confidence in its long-term strategy and the continued demand for flexible and automated packaging solutions.
