Mondi will extend its presence across Interpack 2026 through collaborations with 15 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), using partner stands throughout the Düsseldorf exhibition to demonstrate how its sustainable packaging materials perform in live industrial applications.
Rather than relying on a single standalone booth strategy, Mondi’s approach positions its paper, plastic, coated barrier and corrugated packaging solutions directly within operational machinery environments, allowing visitors to assess how material innovation integrates with real production systems. The strategy reflects growing industry emphasis on validating sustainability claims through machinability, efficiency and supply chain compatibility rather than material substitution alone.
Across the exhibition, Mondi materials will be featured in packaging applications spanning coffee, dried foods, home and personal care, pet food, beverages, eCommerce and transport packaging. By embedding its solutions within multiple OEM platforms, the company aims to show how packaging design, recyclability and line performance intersect under actual operating conditions.
One of the clearest examples will be Mondi’s collaboration with Hugo Beck, where a new kraft paper bundling machine for transport and secondary packaging will run using Mondi’s Ad/Vantage StretchWrap paper. The 70 g/m² uncoated kraft paper is positioned as an alternative to plastic shrink film and excessive carton use, while offering stretch, tear and puncture resistance alongside recyclability in standard paper waste streams.
Additional partners including Rovema, Mespack, Meurer Verpackungssysteme, Viking Masek and Krones will also integrate Mondi materials into their demonstrations, creating multiple touchpoints for converters and brand owners to evaluate packaging options across different machine systems and end-use scenarios.
According to Elisabeth Schwaiger, Head of Innovation Mondi Flexible Packaging, “Interpack is the ideal place to see what is possible when material innovation meets machine expertise. Through our collaborations with OEMs across the value chain, visitors can experience Mondi solutions in action and explore scalable packaging options designed to support their sustainability targets.”
The broad OEM-led deployment underscores a wider packaging sector shift: sustainability is increasingly being measured not only by material composition, but by how effectively new formats function within existing production ecosystems. Mondi’s Interpack strategy therefore positions collaboration, machine compatibility and scalable implementation as central components of packaging innovation.
