FANUC UK and Reeco Automation have entered into a strategic collaboration to integrate FANUC’s CRX collaborative robots into Reeco’s RB series of palletising systems. The partnership aims to offer scalable, automated end-of-line palletising solutions to a broader base of manufacturers, including SMEs in the food and beverage sector.
Reeco will incorporate FANUC’s CRX-20iA and CRX-30iA models—designed for payloads of 20 kg and 30 kg, respectively—into its RB Palletiser range. These cobots are known for their reliability, ease of programming, and low maintenance, backed by extended warranties of up to five years.
“FANUC are a leading OEM, a reputable brand in the world of automation. Many end-users who have adopted automation are already familiar with their technology and the reliability and robustness of their products,” said Rosie Davies, Managing Director at Reeco Automation. “Extending our RB offering to incorporate FANUC collaborative robots therefore makes perfect sense and is the next logical step in our development of the range.”
Reeco’s RB Palletiser line has gained popularity as manufacturers struggle to fill manual loading roles. Compact and user-friendly, the RB systems provide enhanced functionality while maintaining safe operation alongside human workers. With the integration of FANUC’s CRX units, Reeco aims to improve both technical capabilities and production flexibility.
For FANUC, the move comes amid growing automation demand in UK manufacturing. “Recent figures from BARA show that UK food and beverage manufacturing is currently the fastest growing sector in terms of automation adoption,” noted Oliver Selby, Head of Sales at FANUC UK. “By working with Reeco and supporting their RB robot palletising range, we can ensure that more food & beverage companies, including SMEs, are able to reap the benefits of automation.”
Both companies underline the strength of their technical collaboration and shared values. “Our technical teams have been working closely together over the past few months to ensure that FANUC’s collaborative robots can be seamlessly integrated into the RB range,” Davies added. “For our end-users, having a robust, well-built, internationally renowned product from FANUC within our proven automated palletising system will only boost confidence in our offering.”
A demonstration unit featuring the CRX-equipped RB Palletiser is now available for free proof-of-concept trials at Reeco’s Newtown facility in mid-Wales. The system will also be showcased live at Smart Factory Expo (4–5 June 2025, NEC Birmingham) on the FANUC stand (5/F40).
