Palm Strengthens Packaging Arm With 50% Stake In Czech Corrugated Specialist

PALM Group has acquired a 50 per cent share of Power Packaging s.r.o., a corrugated-board packaging manufacturer based in Nýrsko, western Czechia.

Power Packaging, which generates around EUR 4 million in annual sales, specialises in “complex and customised corrugated cardboard packaging”—a segment that typically involves a high share of manual work.

With this move, PALM aims to integrate Power Packaging’s niche packaging expertise into its broader network, thereby enhancing its capabilities in bespoke and intricate corrugated-board solutions. According to PALM, the partnership will enable the group to combine “Power Packaging’s expertise with the existing sales and production network of Palm’s packaging division.”

The deal preserves Power Packaging’s organisational independence: the plant will continue to operate under its existing structure and retain its current management team.

PALM’s interest in Power Packaging follows a major expansion earlier in 2025, when the group completed the acquisition of five corrugated-board plants in Western Europe — previously owned by International Paper (IP). That transaction notably broadened PALM’s footprint in France, Spain and Portugal.

According to PALM’s CEO, this Czech joint-venture represents “a strategically important partner who shares our goals … supporting us in successfully developing major international projects, including those in the East.”
