The global supplier of hybrid packaging, which sells glass, plastic and metal containers as well as a series of closures for the premium beverage and cosmetics industries, recently announced the acquisition of South-Korea Nest-Filler PKG Co., Ltd., a packaging supplier focused on beauty and cosmetic products.

The Tennessee-based producer of compostable packaging solutions has broken ground on a USD350m expansion of its Vonore Sustainable Biomaterials Campus. The new capacity will begin coming online in the first quarter of 2024 and create 230 jobs.

Packaging firm DS Smith has announced an investment of EUR90 million at its paper mill in Rouen, France. The project will see DS Smith replacing the coal-fired boiler with a new biomass boiler, which is expected to reduce CO2 emissions at the site by 99,000 tonnes per year.

Berlin Packaging has partnered with the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) on a sample bottle program to assist in the design and testing of recyclable PET plastic packaging. GEA, an international food processing technology supplier, announced that its has opened a new state-of-the-art food processing and packaging North American Technology Center in Frisco, Texas. The company celebrated the opening of the facility in September.
