Signode has expanded the showroom at its Customer Experience Center in Roselle, Illinois, adding two recently launched automation systems as the company steps up efforts to give manufacturers a live environment for testing and validating transit packaging solutions.
The latest additions to the site are the Octopus Prestige automatic rotary ring stretch wrapper and the Little David LDX-RC random case opener. Their installation broadens the capabilities of a facility that Signode positions as a hands-on space where customers can assess equipment, packaging materials and line integration before deployment.
The Roselle center combines several functions under one roof. These include an ISTA-certified packaging laboratory for simulating transport conditions, factory acceptance testing for pre-delivery validation, an interactive showroom for integrated systems and consumables, and training through Signode’s Reliability Services University.
The move also brings two of Signode’s newer launches into a customer-facing demonstration setting. The Octopus Prestige, introduced in September 2025, is a fully automatic rotary ring stretch wrapper designed for high-volume pallet wrapping operations. Signode says the machine combines intelligent film conversion, advanced motion control and floor-level service access intended to improve film efficiency, load stability and uptime.
The LDX-RC, launched in November 2025, is designed to automate case opening in high-volume decanting environments. Built on Signode’s LDX-RTB platform, the machine is intended to replace manual box cutting and can operate at belt speeds of up to 155 feet per minute, while maintaining a relatively compact footprint.
By adding both systems to the Roselle facility, Signode is effectively turning recent product launches into demonstrable applications for customers evaluating end-of-line automation and packaging performance.
The company is also using the expanded center as a lead-in to MODEX 2026, where it is scheduled to exhibit in Atlanta from April 13 to 16. Signode lists its booth location as B8311.
