Tetra Pak, a global leader in food processing and packaging solutions, has successfully installed its state-of-the-art Tetra Pak E3 Flex XH line at Simultan, the largest Romanian-owned dairy processor. This collaboration marks a global milestone, as Simultan becomes the first factory worldwide to operate this innovative packaging line, customized for chilled dairy products in 1-liter and 500-ml formats.
The Tetra Pak® E3 platform employs advanced eBeam sterilization technology, replacing the traditional hydrogen peroxide sterilization process while maintaining the same level of microbial protection. The eBeam system uses a concentrated electron beam to sterilize the packaging material as it moves through the filling machine, offering a sustainable alternative with a reduced environmental impact. This aligns with Tetra Pak’s commitment to sustainability and supporting clients in achieving their environmental goals.

The new packaging line will increase Simultan’s production capacity by 14%, as noted by Florin Herbai, General Manager of Simultan. “This equipment aligns with our sustainability objectives, offering advanced sterilization technology essential for dairy products that require a highly hygienic process.
