Ranpak’s Grass-Based Void Fill Joins Antalis Portfolio of Eco Materials

Antalis Packaging has expanded its portfolio of sustainable materials with the launch of GrasiKraft™, a grass-based void fill developed by Ranpak.

The new product is manufactured from a blend of 10% grass fibre and 90% recycled content, offering what the company describes as a high-performance and environmentally responsible alternative to traditional kraft void fill.

Grass fibre has long been recognised for its fast growth and renewability, but its use in protective packaging has faced hurdles. GrasiKraft is designed to overcome those challenges, providing businesses with a strong, cost-effective, and visually distinctive option. The speckled, soft-textured appearance of the material also gives it aesthetic appeal for e-commerce applications and brand presentation.

Compatibility with Ranpak’s existing converters means that companies adopting GrasiKraft do not need to modify their current machines or equipment.

Steve Marples, Category Manager at Antalis Packaging, said: “We’re always exploring new products to give our customers an even wider range of sustainable options. GrasiKraft is an exciting addition to our void fill range and the fact that it works with all Ranpak converters opens up some interesting new possibilities for businesses looking to create standout.”

With the addition of GrasiKraft, Antalis strengthens its range of alternatives aimed at supporting brand owners and online retailers in reducing the environmental footprint of their packaging choices.
