Tosca Secures EcoVadis Gold Rating As Supply Chains Demand Measurable Sustainability

Tosca has been awarded a Gold rating by EcoVadis for 2026, placing the reusable packaging and pooling specialist among the top 5% of companies assessed worldwide.

The rating comes as sustainability performance becomes a more important factor in procurement and supply chain decisions, particularly in Europe, where regulation is placing greater emphasis on waste reduction, traceability and lifecycle performance.

Tosca said its 2026 assessment showed improved scores across all categories compared with 2025. EcoVadis evaluates companies across environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

“Across Europe, we are seeing sustainability move from ambition to operational reality. Customers increasingly want clear evidence of performance, whether that is efficiency, compliance, waste reduction or supply chain resilience,” said Laurent Le Mercier, EMEA President, Tosca.

The company said businesses are under growing pressure to reduce environmental impact while improving operational efficiency, controlling costs and strengthening continuity across supply chains. It added that single-use packaging models face increasing scrutiny because they rely on a constant flow of new materials and generate waste at each cycle.

Tosca positions its reusable plastic packaging and pooling solutions as a way for growers, suppliers and retailers to reduce waste while improving supply chain performance. Its end-to-end pooling model uses reusable plastic containers and pallets across multiple sectors.

“Achieving Gold with EcoVadis is an important recognition of the progress our teams continue to make across the business,” Le Mercier said. “At Tosca, we believe sustainability only creates value when it works in practice. Our reusable plastic packaging and pooling solutions help customers reduce waste, improve operational efficiency and build more resilient, circular supply chains for the future.”

The company said the EcoVadis result reflects the growing role of independent assessments in validating supplier credibility, operational resilience and long-term sustainability performance.
